Great Wall Restaurant in Staunton

Great Szechuan Chicken. The buffet is not large but has all the basics, server warm,spectful, efficient. Thea atmosphere is very nice, welcoming and relaxed. One of our favorite places to eat out.

Food is ALWAYS good. Been a customer as long as they have been open. Loved seeing the boys growing up to be perfect gentlemen.

I ordered cashew chicken but it contained zero cashews. When I called to question this they said it should have cashews in it but they forgot to add them. They offered me a free egg roll. In my opinion that is not fair compensation. I will be finding another Chinese restaurant in the future since they are unwilling to fix their admitted mistakes.

First note, this is for their delivery. I have no opinion about food cooked in house.Two stars. Is it terrible? no, I would have given it 1 star in that case. Is it good? Meh, not really. I was pretty disappointed. It's like... if someone fed it to me, yes, i'd eat it. But if someone asked me to pay for it... nope.

Came late - 2pm for lunch. I opted for the buffet. Some pans just had remnants around the edges, the food was lukewarm. No one offered to restock the the buffet. The women's bathroom had some tiles that appeared moldy. I have gotten take out several times and was always pleased. So i give it a 3 stars to balance my experience.

First time here.. Simply amazing. They dont hold back portions either.. Left with takeout. Every box was Stuffed.

We like the great while because it's a buffet in the food is always hot and good.

Most of the food( what there was of it) was cold. The biscuits were too hard to eat. Go elsewhere and enjoy spending your money. Very dissatisfied.

The Chinese restaurants here in Virginia are not like your Northern Chinese restaurants ( more flavorful and more of a variety ), but depending on what Chinese restaurant you pick here in Virginia, this is "one of" the better Chinese restaurants around. Blessings!

Always like this place. The coconut chicken is my favorite.

Typical Chinese buffet. One hot bar and a cold bar. I recommend take out. No sushi or habachi or anything fancy. Food is good and the service is great. Here's the real scoop why I continue to go back again and again: They have THE BEST veggie egg rolls EVER. Light crispy shell, delicious filling, so good!

People are friendly, food is good, sometimes better then others but me and the kids do enjoy coming here.

Hadn’t eaten here in a couple of years because of the lack of cleanliness. Thought I would give it another try yesterday. Oh’ haven’t changed one bit!? The chicken was very hard and tasted bad! The waitress puts her hand on everything and still puts her ungloved hands on the utensils. The experience was pretty nasty! Ended with her overcharging me! Don’t make the same mistake that I did, go elsewhere. We disposed of the food!!! What a waste!!! All because we didn’t want to make the drive to Chia City... WHERE THE FOOD IS GREAT!!!

We like this place. A lot! It's a once a week visit for sure. I'm a fried rice addict. My wife is the Lo Mein Lady. Two thumbs up! The staff is friendly. The price is right.Update 9/15.So hate to say it--this place has gone way downhill. Dang I hate it! Over the past 2 months the buffet has morphed into tasteless mess. Today the General's Chicken was mushy, soggy, nasty. The fried rice was okay. My wife said the lo mein was tasteless. We were done dining in less than 15 minutes. We are truly bummed!

The staff were really nice...the food not so great wasn't bad either but for the price sure beats a McDonald's value meal

Food is great as always, beef w Chinese veg and general tso combination were delicious as well as the cheese wontons and beef teriyaki.The general tso has a little spice kick to it which I also really enjoy.Delivery driver was also very nice!

I had been looking for a Chinese food place with good lo Mein and I finally found one! Great Wall has amazing food and their prices are reasonable. I will be coming back. I tried the shrimp w/ broccoli in a combination dish with vegetable lo Mein. However, not the freshest that I’ve tried - 4 stars for that.

I’m currently in this place right now wishing I was elsewhere. The food is horrible, the service is odd (I think the waitress is on drugs). This is the worst buffet I have ever been too. Don’t waste your money like I did.

Must go during peak hours or the buffet will be old and will not be replenished. Depending on the day some servers are excellent and others you are lucky to get a refill. At its worst its a 2 star buffet, at its best a 4 star so ive rated it 3/5.

I would give this place 5 stars for delivery given the delivery drivers are always great!! But, im upset at the fact that my husband and I order chinese cuisine along with the fact that we have cooked chinese cuisine at home. My complaint is that my husband was made like he was dense on what chow mein plates are. If you look up or eat anything chow mein, there are stir fry noodles. And online it shows it has egg noodles... But got told "it doesnt come with noodles." So, be sure if you order delivery you ask specifically what your plate comes with cause, you might end up not getting what you ordered... :/ feel really bad for my son cause he was looking forward to his chow mein and got skimped... Btw chow mein mean " stir-fry noodles." Sorry your customer isn't stupid this time around.

Food was not good and I asked for a specific dish and was told they didnt have enough orders for it. I will not go again

I ordered for home delivery on a Monday night, so I can't say anything about the dine-in or pick-up experience. This was my first time ordering.Egg roll was good, maybe a bit small. Wonton soup was perfection. Lots of meaty wonton & pretty warm when it arrived. Lemon chicken was DIY with chicken in one container & sauce in another, but both were good. However, the lemons were seeded. Meh. Chicken fried rice was excellent.Prices were reasonable, rounded the order out with a couple of cokes and including delivery charge (?) it was less than $30.Delivery was about 30 minutes and food was hot to very warm, I was happy.I walked out to the driver's car because my front porch light is broke. She was very nice. Everything that should have been there, was.I will be ordering from there again.
